As a new grad considering practice ownership, I found Scott's seminar incredibly eye-opening. Business school for dentists is basically what this is. He breaks down the numbers behind running a dental practice in a way that dental school never taught us.

The seminar I attended was well-organized, the slides were polished, and the Q&A sessions were helpful. Scott clearly knows his stuff and has real experience running practices.

My main criticism is the cost. At $3,000+ for a 2-day seminar, it's a significant investment for a new grad already buried in student debt. Some of the same information is available through podcasts, YouTube, and dental society study clubs for free or much less.

I also felt pressured to sign up for the more expensive coaching program on the spot with 'limited seats' urgency tactics.

I attended Breakaway Seminars twice back in 2019 and 2021, and they were genuinely transformative for my practice. When Scott split from Breakaway, I was excited to see what he'd do independently.

Unfortunately, the Scott Leune Education seminars feel like a rehash of the old Breakaway content with a new coat of paint. The core strategies are the same — reduce overhead, build systems, let your team run the practice. These are good principles but I've already heard them.

For someone brand new to practice management education, this would probably be a 4/5. But for anyone who attended Breakaway, there's not much new here. The price point is also higher than what Breakaway charged for essentially the same material.

The split from Breakaway also raised some questions — there are now TWO companies (Breakaway Seminars and Scott Leune Education) teaching very similar content, which is confusing for the market.

Attended the Practice Management Mastery seminar in Dallas. Scott is an incredible speaker — very data-driven and clear. The content on reducing overhead and improving systems was genuinely helpful. I implemented several changes and saw a noticeable improvement in my numbers within 3 months.

However, the seminar felt like it was constantly upselling to the next level of coaching or the next seminar. By the end I felt like I'd only gotten the surface-level stuff and needed to pay thousands more for the 'real' strategies. The free webinars are basically infomercials for the paid seminars.

That said, the core content IS solid if you can extract the value without getting sucked into buying everything they offer.

Scott Leune Education offered reasonable value for their practice management seminars and CEO coaching coaching. I picked up some good habits around tracking KPIs and running better team meetings. The price felt a bit high for what was delivered though. I would say it accelerated my learning by maybe 6 months versus figuring it out on my own.
